The First Health Science and Technology Innovation Competition

On January 15th, the award ceremony of the first Wuhan Health Science and Technology Innovation Competition (referred to as the "Competition") was held in Optics Valley, with more than 800 participants from various medical institutions, universities, and enterprises in Wuhan. On site, 143 scientific and technological innovation achievements have settled on platforms such as Hubei Science and Technology Innovation Supply Chain. This competition is the largest innovation competition in the health system of Hubei Province. Since its launch in May last year, the competition has attracted 394 research teams from medical institutions, universities, and pharmaceutical companies to register. In the end, 35 projects won gold, silver, and bronze awards in four tracks: biomedicine and detection reagents, medical devices (active/passive), clinical diagnosis and treatment, and big health. Among them, 31 projects come from medical institutions, accounting for nearly 90%, and clinical work has become the main driving force for technological innovation in the field of health.
